Amba Saikia, a veteran volleyball player, has had a remarkable career both on the court and in sports administration. She served as the Honorary Volleyball Secretary of the Guwahati Sports Association from 2020 to 2022, is a Life Member of the Association, and has been the Secretary of the Guwahati Volleyball Coaching Centre since 2000. As an athlete, she represented her state in the National Games in 1979, 1988, and 1989, and in the National Sports Festival for Women in 1976 and 1981. She captained teams at the All India Rural Sports, National School Games, and multiple National Volleyball Championships, exemplifying leadership, dedication, and excellence in volleyball.
