Vinayan A. V

Vinayan A. V is a highly accomplished powerlifting Former coach and former international athlete, recognized for his outstanding contributions to the sport. A proud recipient of the Kerala Chief Minister’s Award, he has been honored for his excellence and dedication to Indian sports. Currently, he serves in key coaching roles as the Indian Railway Powerlifting Coach, ICF Powerlifting Coach, and Tamil Nadu State Powerlifting Coach, where he trains and mentors athletes at both national and international levels.

As an athlete, Vinayan made a mark early in his career by winning the Gold Medal at the Junior Asian Powerlifting Championship in 2001, held in Delhi. He went on to represent India at the Junior World Championships in 2002 and 2003 in Sochi, Russia, gaining valuable global experience. His domestic career highlights include winning Gold at the Senior National Powerlifting Championship in 2003 and Silver at the 2004 edition. He was also a Junior National Gold Medalist, laying a strong athletic foundation from a young age. Today, his transition from elite athlete to elite coach continues to elevate Indian powerlifting, inspiring the next generation of champions.
