C.V. Sunny, former captain of both the Indian Senior and Junior Basketball Teams, is a respected veteran of Indian basketball with over 35 years of playing experience and 17 years in coaching. A FIBA Level 3 certified coach, trained in the U.S., he currently serves as the Head Coach of the Indian Senior Men’s Basketball Team, having led India in major international tournaments including the West Asia Cup 2024, SABA Cup, and Asian Championships. He has successfully coached the Tamil Nadu Senior Men’s Team to multiple national honors and guided the MG University Women’s Team to podium finishes at Khelo India. As the founder of CV Sunny’s Basketball Academy in Chennai, he is deeply committed to grassroots development and nurturing young talent across South India.
